"It was my first camp and I thought it would just be activities at school, but we went to lots of places and did amazing activities. I made loads of friends from all over the world. I loved go karting and the chocolate factory. Best of all were the Etiquette classes learning about other cultures and behaviour. I really impressed my Dad with what I learnt. I am very excited about being a School year student at Surval now."

Anna, Russia

"I made friends from all over the world, we laughed so much on the stand up paddle and banna boat. My french improved so much, the teachers are so lovely and make you feel really comfortable and I wasn't scared to speak."

Residential Trips

At our residential summer camp, girls have the opportunity to embark on thrilling three-day trips to incredible destinations like the Swiss Tour, Europa Park, or Disneyland. These unforgettable experiences, available at an extra cost, offer a chance to explore iconic locations, enjoy exhilarating rides, and create lasting memories with friends.

For those who choose to stay at camp, the fun continues! They dive into language learning with engaging lessons and enjoy a variety of exciting activities, ensuring a summer filled with adventure, discovery, and personal growth—wherever they choose to be!

Make a Splash with our Watersports!

At Surval Montreux, Fridays are more than just the start of the weekend—they’re an invitation to embrace the breathtaking beauty of our surroundings with our much-loved Lake Day. Each week, the whole school heads down to the stunning shores of Lake Geneva for an unforgettable day of watersports, adventure, and relaxation.

With the majestic Alps and lush vineyards as our backdrop, girls dive into a variety of exciting activities. From paddleboarding across the crystal-clear waters to the thrill of banana boat rides, every moment on the lake is filled with energy and fun. Whether it's swimming in the lake or pool, wakeboarding, or simply enjoying a boat ride soaking in the serene views, there’s something for everyone.

Beyond our weekly Lake Days, students also have the opportunity to explore a world of watersports, including canyoning through breathtaking mountain rivers, mastering the waves with indoor surfing, or setting sail with our sailing sessions. These experiences not only build confidence and skills but also create unforgettable memories in one of the most beautiful locations in the world.

At Surval, the lake is our playground, our escape, and a place where lifelong friendships and a love for adventure are born.

Language and Culture

“If we spoke a different language, we would perceive a somewhat different world” - Wittgenstein

At Surval Summer Camp, we celebrate our international diversity – a real mix of cultures, customs, languages, religions, tastes, callings, interests… in short, a magnificent melting pot!

Surval girls enjoy being immersed in the language and culture of Switzerland. At Surval Summer Camp, girls will learn English, French and Spanish.  Campers have their language lessons every day taught by qualified language teachers.

Learning is fun using films, songs and role play, as well as more formal methods. Language is put into practice in the School community and, for those learning French, through their visits in the local area where French is the main language.

Classes are small and are taught by Surval staff.  All core skills are covered in the language lessons, and girls are encouraged to use their chosen language when speaking with teachers during the School day.

Outside lessons, our main language are French and English, there are plenty of opportunities for girls to apply their French within their activities and with the staff. Confidence in using a language is key, and the local people of Montreux are always happy to help.

"Throughout the past three weeks at Surval Summer Camp, I have gotten to know people from all over the world. During our French lessons in the morning and activities in the afternoon, we have grown into one community despite our nationalities. This unique experience has allowed me to visit another country and learn about its history, culture and language."

Marialex, Mexico

Our Savoir-Vivre & Etiquette

Our Surval heritage is founded on savoir-vivre—the art of refined living, encompassing grace, etiquette, and cultural awareness. It is about carrying oneself with confidence, showing respect for others, and appreciating the finer aspects of life.

At Surval, we bring savoir-vivre into the modern world through engaging etiquette sessions, where girls learn the essentials of social grace and international manners. Our colour analysis workshops help them discover what suits them best, enhancing their personal style with confidence. In our culinary arts classes, they master the skills to cook delicious meals and bake mouth-watering cakes, embracing both creativity and tradition in the kitchen.
